- Spring 1906 brigade formed. Council met at new station on 18/05/1906 to test equipment. Old station still standing and used in recent years as a paint spray shop

- history of Seascale fire brigade: The Brigade never possessed a horse drawn engine. Mr Isaac Postlethwaite was paid £20 for building the Fire Station. The Furness Railway was to be paid £1 rent each year for the land. [unknown which location] May 1924: The new fire engine would not fit in the fire station and the door close. The door had to be modified from opening to sliding.
